We’re delighted to announce that the annual Arranmore Ferry competition is live right now!

Make sure you buy a return ticket from Burtonport to Arranmore Island this summer to be entered into the competition. Tickets can be bought online for a 10% discount too!

The Arranmore Ferry

Ferries depart daily from Burtonport (Áilt an Chorráin). We’re the largest, most modern family run ferry to Arranmore Island. The Boyle family have been taking passengers to Arranmore Island for over 100 years.

Total journey time 15-20 minutes.

Certified with the Department of Marine and Fáilte Ireland to carry vehicles and up to 96 passengers.

We offer attractive group and family rates and 10% discount for booking online.

Indoor and outdoor seating areas with onboard toilet facilities (suitable for those with reduced mobility)

Before booking please read our guidelines for travel.

** Passengers with mobility issues are advised to pre-book your vehicle on the ferry so that you can be given the designated parking area for easy access to onboard facilities.

Arranmore Island is an idyllic island off the west coast of County Donegal. The island has world renowned cliff scenery offering stunning views of the Atlantic, beautiful sand and stone beaches and traditional music sessions in it’s pubs, offering something for everyone.

The Wild Atlantic Way

Arranmore Island is situated along the Wild Atlantic Way path and well worth a visit. During the 15-20 minute scenic journey from Burtonport to Arranmore, a wide range of wildlife can be seen – you may even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of our regular visitors, the Bottlenose Dolphins. Things To Do

Arranmore has a wide range of activities and events running year round including; hiking and hill walking, diving and eco tours, football tournaments, bird watching, surfing, bumper balls and even archery. Information can always be found at the community centre, CFFAM Árainn Mhór.

Want to visit another Donegal island? Realt Na Maidne Teoranta Ferry Company is delighted to announced the Tory Island Ferry service, the Queen of Arran Ferry.

The ferry departs Magheroarty Pier and Tory Island serveral times a day.

Tory is known for it’s traditional music and dance and is a haven for artists, photographers and bird watchers. The island has an abundance of wildlife and breathtaking scenery… it’s well worth a visit any time of the year!
